BrickWars Sets Description

Lego Star Wars 7283 Ultimate Space Battle from "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" took place above the planet of Coruscant. The Republic, in an effort to rescue the kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine, engage the Separatist droid forces of General Grievous over Coruscant. There, Anakin Skywalker and his master Obi-Wan Kenobi pilot their Jedi starfighters into battle, meeting much resistance when attempting to reach the Invisible Hand, General Grievous' ship, and more importantly where the Chancellor was being held captive. For Anakin, the hotshot pilot, the droid starfighters were no problem. But his master Obi-Wan had trouble with the droid tri-fighters' deadly projectiles; buzz droids. They tore into his ship, disabling many of the controls. Anakin was able to save him from them, but they had an emergency crash-landing onto the Invisible Hand.
The Jedi Starfighter was an Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor also known as the Jedi interceptor was a Republic starfighter utilized late in the Clone Wars. It shared the same design elements of the Delta-7 Jedi starfighter and the TIE/In starfighter of the Galactic Empire. The Eta-2 is 54.7 meters in length, 4.3 meters in width, 2.5 meters in height with wings extended was much shorter than the Delta-7. The new fighter’s weight was significantly reduced by removing a considerable amount of the forward space frame, resulting in a fork like shape. The Eta-2 had twin ion engines achieve maximum acceleration of 5,200g and providing a maximum speed of 15,000 kilometers per hour. Similar to its predecessor, it lacked the space required for a hyperdrive system, thus relying on carrier vessels or hyperspace transport ring for long-range travel. Given the space limitations, the Eta-2 allowed for a full size astromech instead of the truncated unit on the Delta-7. The Eta-2 integrated S-foils to radiate excessive engine heat during combat to prevent damage to the craft. The panels were usually opened in normal flight to reduce stress on the engines. This design element would be later incorporated in the radiator panels of TIE fighters held in a stationery position, but served the same purpose. The Eta-2 possessed more firepower than the Delta-7, two larger laser cannons and two ion cannons. However, Eta-2 limited power systems restricted the weapons to fire continuously. Unlike the Delta-7, the Eta-2 lacked shields, heavy sensors and flight instruments were removed for faster performance and unnecessary for a pilot with precognitive Force abilities.
The Droid Tri-Fighter from “Revenge of the Sith” The Droid Tri-Fighter, a deadly drone Confederacy droid starfighter designed and built as a powerful space superiority starfighter to excel in dogfight combat. The Droid fighter were deployed in massive numbers in the later parts of the Clone Wars. It measures 5.4 meters in length, 3.45 meters in width, and a maximum speed of 37,000 kilometers per hour. The Droid’s three-armed ridged design resembled the skull features of a fearsome predator from the planet of Colla IV. The arms surround the droid’s advanced artificial brain are kept in a rotating gyroscopic core. The engine systems consisted of three independent thrusters giving it great agility and powered by a reactor. The control communications transceiver provided the craft with exceptional range for a fighter drone. The weapon systems included one heavy laser cannon protruded from the central ball, and a light laser cannon for each of the three arms, which can fire independently or simultaneously and tilt on rail to improve its accuracy. Up to six missiles of variable payloads can be loaded in each arm. The Droid Tri-Fighter had the capability of deploying buzz droids via discord missiles, which affix themselves to rival ships to disable, rather than destroy them.
The Vulture droid starfighter was a variable geometry self-propelled Droid starfighter used by the Trade Federation, each battleship carried 1500 droid starfighters. Subsequently, the Confederacy of Independent Systems deployed the Vulture Droids in large number during the Clone Wars. The craft had an insectoid appearance and required no living pilot, but rather a droid brain linked to a Droid Control ship. It has the capability of performing complex maneuvers that would kill an ordinary pilot, but lacked the resourcefulness of a human being, albeit a faster response rate. Vulture Droids can only operate for 35 minutes before requiring to refueled, due to its unusual solid-fuel concentrate slug system, which provide propulsion upon ignition. The Trade Federation remedied this by sending Vulture Droids in timed swarmed rotations. The Vulture Droid measures 3.5 meters in length, maximum acceleration of 3,900g, and maximum atmospheric speed of 1200 kilometers per hour. The weapon systems consisted of four blaster cannons with two per wing concealed in flight, but during combat the wings would split open to reveal the blaster cannons. Additionally, the craft carried two energy torpedo launchers in its arsenal however, while in walker-mode the blaster cannons could not be used with the legs pointed downward, thus relying solely on the torpedo launchers. The Vulture droid can be transformed into a walking weapons platform to provide ground patrol and troop support, when not in flight. While in walking mode, the craft could latch onto surfaces in zero gravity, allowing it to patrol from the hulls of capital ships. Vulture Droids are programmed to self-destruct upon losing their link to the host control ship.

The Lego 7283 Ultimate Space Battle contains 567 pieces and includes 4 minifigures.
