BrickWars Sets Description

Lego Star Wars 65771 Episode III Collector's Set was a special exclusive release and features the ARC-170 Starfighter and Droid Tri-Fighter. The ARC-170 Starfighter from “Revenge of the Sith” stood for Aggressive ReConnaissance starfighter a heavy starfighter/bomber widely used by the Republic navy in the latter days of the Clone Wars. The ARC-170 was a predecessor to the T-65 X-Wing starfighter mainly utilized by the Alliance to restore order to the Republic. Similar to the designs of its time, the ARC starfighter had a narrow spaceframe flanked with large engines. In addition, an S-foil system assisted in radiating heat and aided the starfighter’s shielding, which provided increased stability during atmospheric flight. The front deflector shield projectors dispersed heat generated from air resistance allowed the ARC-170 to attain super sonic speeds in atmospheric flight. The ARC-170 differed from other starfighter designs of the Clone Wars era, which were smaller, faster, and more maneuverable, thus sacrificing heavy weapons, shields and hyperdrives. Conversely, the ARC starfighter was large, rugged, and able to carry out long indepenent operations. It measured 14.5 meters in length, 22.6 meters in width, height of 4.78 meters, and a maximum speed of 44.000 kph with deflector shields activated. The ARC has a hyperdrive range of 5,000 light years, countermeasures such as shielding from enemy fire and powerful sensors, scanners and jamming devices. The armament consisted of two forward-mounted laser cannons, two rear mounted laser cannons, proton torpedo launcher capable of launching six torpedoes. The crew included; a pilot, co-pilot, gunner and an R2 series astromech droid.
The Droid Tri-Fighter from “Revenge of the Sith” The Droid Tri-Fighter, a deadly drone Confederacy droid starfighter designed and built as a powerful space superiority starfighter to excel in dogfight combat. The Droid fighter were deployed in massive numbers in the later parts of the Clone Wars. It measures 5.4 meters in length, 3.45 meters in width, and a maximum speed of 37,000 kilometers per hour. The Droid’s three-armed ridged design resembled the skull features of a fearsome predator from the planet of Colla IV. The arms surround the droid’s advanced artificial brain are kept in a rotating gyroscopic core. The engine systems consisted of three independent thrusters giving it great agility and powered by a reactor. The control communications transceiver provided the craft with exceptional range for a fighter drone. The weapon systems included one heavy laser cannon protruded from the central ball, and a light laser cannon for each of the three arms, which can fire independently or simultaneously and tilt on rail to improve its accuracy. Up to six missiles of variable payloads can be loaded in each arm. The Droid Tri-Fighter had the capability of deploying buzz droids via discord missiles, which affix themselves to rival ships to disable, rather than destroy them.
This special release also comes with a Lego Star Wars "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" poster, a CD-ROM called "From the Lego Vaults" that has the short animated movie, "Revenge of the Brick," and came with either a bonus MINI Jedi Starfighter or a MINI ARC-170 Starfighter.

The Lego 65771 Episode III Collector's Set contains 586 pieces and includes 5 minifigures.
